Vegan Perfection is Jeremy and Rebecca, two committed vegans, environmentalists and humanitarians who decided one day they wanted to spread the benefits of a vegan lifestyle to the Australian population by introducing innovative and superior quality vegan products to the market. Having lived for years in the UK, where there are 250,000 vegans and an estimated 6 million vegetarians, they thought the natural thing to do was import some of the exciting vegan brands that they had enjoyed whilst living there.
In his 'previous life' Jeremy worked as a Project Manager/Engineer on mines and construction sites in Australia and the UK, with the odd job as bouncer for a Tokyo nightclub and a Wildlife Fundraiser in Tasmania thrown in for spice! Although Jeremy had always felt a deep empathy with animals from a young age, it wasn't until early 2004 that Jeremy became vegan after reading the book The Pig Who Sang To The Moon by Jeffrey Masson. When the time is right seeds of conscience that have been dormant for years will finally come to life and face the sun...
Having originally graduated in languages and international studies Rebecca has worked in many different industries including working as a TV Commercials Producer, Runner and trainee Journalist. In addition to working at Vegan Perfection, Rebecca is also a Screenwriter, Feng Shui consultant, Theta Healing Practitioner and is passionate about motorbikes. She became vegetarian as a child, after many debates at the dinner table, and has now been vegan for a total of 12 years.
The Vegan Perfection team has recently grown to incorporate 3 new members, namely; Belinda and Amanda in the office and John in the warehouse - all committed vegans who we are blessed to have with us.
And not, of course forgetting VP's most important contributors - our furry companions White Mountain, Poppy and Angel Amahl. Amahl shared our life for four joyful years as a Buddha incarnate. He taught us and the world something new every day. And decided to go to the Rainbow Bridge in his favourite spot in the garden on 8th February 2010. Our handsome boy is pictured above receiving a well-earned head massage. White Mountain is a little white ray of light who brings laughter and fun into our lives whenever we most need it. And her fave VP product being Cheezly. Poppy, a Jack-Russell cross who roamed the streets of Melbourne before finding a home with us, is more than happy to assist with product sampling at ANY time - especially Redwood Lincolnshire Sausages! |
